I don't know about the rest of you, but when I get interested in something, it tends to get out of control, like going from wanting a small garden plot with a few fruits and vegetables to having delusions of planting your own avocado forest and/or permaculture farm. Do other people see pattern books and think, "Oh, I might want to make one of those," instead of, "I think I will make every model illustrated in this book"?Awhile ago, I hijacked lf's book on kusudama origami and have proceeded to populate my house with round origami creations. Then they started to spread to other people's homes. I took pictures of them with gorillas and posted them on flickr. I searched people's flickr tags for more examples of origami and links to patterns online. I began hoarding stacks of origami paper.

The warning sign that things may have gotten out of control was when I noticed a familiar blue background and black lettering sticking out of our cousin's purse, got really excited and asked if she was doing origami, and then people thought I was going through her purse. Oops.
