cake!

anyone who knows me reasonably well, knows that i'm someone enamoured of a band named cake. for some reason i only own one of their cds but i absolutely adore their sound. due to a foiled attempt at purchasing tickets to see coldplay at the filmore on sunday morning... this past week i have been obsessed with websurfing for live shows in the area. i came across the cake show on wednesday but talked myself out of buying tickets because nobody else i kno would really want to pay $25 to go see them and i didn't really think it was worth $50 out of my own pocket to force someone to go see them with me.

along my websurfing journey i happened upon sfist.com a website that sandia turned me on to a couple of months ago. an advertisment on the website caught my eye. "win cake tickets!" it said. yeah right i thought. but i clicked on the link anyway and filled out all of the obligatory information. the email response to the registration was, "you will be informed by May 5 if you have won tickets".

as i was fulfilling my morning routine at work today... an email popped into my inbox... re:you have won two tickets to see cake tonight. =D

man am I feeling lucky today! maybe I should actually gamble while I’m in vegas!
