I went to check on my garden today after night #2 of potential frost. Only a few plants looked affected. I wasn't too sad about the nasturtiums having some wilted leaves, since they grow like weeds, but the purplish ornamental plant looked like it was in bad shape. As I was pulling off the wilted leaves, I decided that I would pick a flower so I could use it to garnish my lunch. I would then photograph my lunch and post it on the blog, since I've been kind of a blog slacker. When I said hi to some random people in the garden, I accidentally hit someone's chicken wire fence and knocked the flower out of my hand. Not to be deterred, I picked up the flower off the ground and continued on my way. Unfortunately, when I switched on my camera, it helpfully informed me that it was time to change the batteries, but I don't have any charged ones lying around.
So much for my grand blog plans. In the meantime, here is this weird fortune:
