Obsessed

Awhile ago, I noticed a sweater pattern that I was interested in on another knitting blog, Smiling Tiger. I clicked on the links and checked out the designer's website where it was available for sale, but decided that I had so many projects already in the queue that I didn't need to be thinking about other ones. Naturally, I also thought, "Should the time come that I want to purchase this pattern, I will just refer back to the blog and follow the links again.

You know this can't be headed in a good direction, right? I was reading JenLa's summary of knitblogs for 2004 when, to my alarm, they mentioned Smiling Tiger as being "sadly defunct." Agh! Aside from not being able to check out the author's creative endeavors, now my link to that pattern is lost and I have decided that I need it. I have done obsessive web searches with no avail.

In my last ditch effort, I will describe the pattern here, so in the off chance that all two other people who look at this site somehow encounter the pattern, they will know, even if they don't knit. It's for self-striping yarn like Noro Kureyon and is a slightly asymmetrical cardigan/jacket that is knit in multiple directions. The sample photo was in a colorway that had some orange, I think, and the hem had a bit of a dangling point.

Oh well.
