Here's the felted tote I made last week. I was thinking it would be funny if I got a mini baguette and put it in there to photograph, but I don't really have the time to be hunting down mini baguettes. I used about three balls of the yarn from one of the earflap hats ($1.80 a ball from a bag sale on Elann).
I am really liking this color right now, which is kind of alarming because it could just as easily be called "hot pink" as "raspberry." Maybe I'm being brainwashed by the fashion dictators, but I am semi-stalking a cute wool coat at Express that is this color. It reminds me of a gumdrop. Things at Express don't fit me (except loose fitting things), but I figure coats are ok because once you put on a few layers, it evens things up. It's not like I'm even going to buy it (unless it goes on 95% off clearance)... I just stop by when I'm shopping to visit.
I found the photo of the earflap hat, but when I took the picture, I was still demented from finals week and I didn't notice that the circular join was in the front of the picture. I've read some stuff about making circular joins look ok in stockinette stitch with different colors, but so far have not seen anything about garter stitch being knit circularly.
Yay babbling.
