delaying the inevitable

After trying on the sock, which is a very interesting endeavor with the dpn's still on the stitches, I'm not sure if I want to rip it out yet. I think I'm going to do a few pattern repeats with the 1s to see if I like the fabric better and if it seems like a better gauge before abandoning the work I've already done.
