Recycled silk and recycled coffee table

Here's a photo of the yarn I got. It's recycled silk and is woven from a bunch of silk fibers made from saris. The colors are a huge mixture and sometimes I think it's too colorful, but at other times it's a rainbow of colors and textures. It is also fun to pet.

The ball is sitting on the coffee table that I picked up at the thrift store yesterday. The thrift store is famous (at least among those I have told) for its 10-cent Monday specials where everything with a certain color tag is 10 cents. Thursdays and Saturdays are 50% off everything in the store.

I had been looking for a table on which I could do some sort of decoupage/collage action, but this one was lightweight and could fit in my car. I may still do some sanding and staining or something to replace the fake drawer pull that fell off, but we'll see.
