fig

last weekend ended for me with an impromptu pot luck with chris and nargis (and somehow in the possession of a paper bag full of figs!). so of course monday was spent scouring the internet for fig recipes. i came across a recipe for a FRESH FIG TART WITH ROSEMARY CORNMEAL CRUST AND LEMON MASCARPONE CREAM on epicurious. if the figs make it to the weekend i think i might attempt it.

since the parents came over for dinner this week, i took the opportunity to make some oven roasted figs stuffed with goat cheese and bacon. there is no recipe for this really. stuff figs with goat cheese and bacon. roast in oven. there is your recipe. geez stop hounding me for information already! hahaha...

after discussing my sudden fig find with sandia, she sent me a recipe for fig and carmelized onion pizza. coincidentially i am in possession of gorgonzola and a big bag of onions. i don't believe in fate. but could it be....? =)
